{INTERIOR DECOR} WAYFAIR HOME EXPERT- AUTUMN COLOUR CHALLENGE

Happy October Everyone!

Although I LOVE the summer I am definitely a fan of seasons, particularly the Autumnal months. I’m looking forward to getting snug in my dark moody lounge with plenty of sumptuous, rich textures to keep it cosy and warm.

This month I have collaborated with Wayfair for their Home Expert challenge to show you how to give your home an Autumn update through colour, pattern and texture.

{INTERIOR DECOR} BEST OF THE SALES; MY BRASS BAR CART

July for most people means school holidays, summer BBQ’s and lazy weekends spent in their gardens. For me, July is SALE time! So, what better way to get back into blogging than by telling you about my latest SALE bargain. It’s been about a month since I last post about my fav top pics at Wayfair. Since then I’ve been sunning myself on the Balearic Islands with way too much sun and sangria to write anything half decent. Which leads me onto the topic of this post nicely like some drink obsessed crazy lady.

{SHOPPING} HOMEWARE SHOPPING IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA- 24e DESIGN Co

Todays shopping guide is coming from Savannah, Georgia.

Technically it’s not a guide, more a big up to one particular shop which I came across on my travels recently. The shop is 24e DESIGN Co. Located 24 East Broughton Street in the center of Savannah.

I love supporting local businesses and this one just deserved a mention.

{SHOPPING} THE HERB WINDOW BOX

{SHOPPING} THE HERB WINDOW BOX

If you're like me and have a garden which doesn't have the space for growing herbs in then you're in the right place. (Flat owners.. this applies to you too!) I've been looking for something simple, but still pretty to house my herbs in on my kitchen window sill, and i think I've finally found a cute solution. It kind of looks like its always been there..

{SHOPPING} BRASS & MARBLE COFFEE TABLES - MY PICK OF THE BEST

{SHOPPING} BRASS & MARBLE COFFEE TABLES - MY PICK OF THE BEST

I don’t know about you, but I’m always adding and changing bits of my home. I don’t think a house is ever “finished”. For me it’s one long continuous lifelong process to add and evolve. This also keeps my home fresh and contemporary, and it also stops me getting bored with one particular style.

My latest obsession is a new coffee table. When we bought our home we didn’t have any spare money so we’ve been using an old vintage trunk as a table. The trunk which has fantastic storage looks a bit heavy (its dark blue and trimmed in black and brass), so I’m now on the lookout for something a little more grown up. Something ideally made of my two favourite materials- MARBLE & BRASS!

{SHOPPING} THE DIY WORD BANNER

{SHOPPING} THE DIY WORD BANNER

I recently threw a going away bash for a friend who was going travelling and I wanted a personalised banner to send her on her way.

Personalised banners can be expensive and a waste of money if they can’t be re-used, so I went in search of something  I could re-use depending on the event.

{SHOPPING} WOODLAND CUSHIONS & NURSERY THEMES

I definitely have a cushion obsession!

Stacked up on the bed, or piled up on the sofa, my mantra is ‘there’s no such thing as having too many cushions’, nor did anyone ever say they had too many! Here I explore new designers on Etsy and look at nursery ideas and themes.

{SHOPPING} HOUSE PLANT SHOPPING

{SHOPPING} HOUSE PLANT SHOPPING

Last weekend I decided our house needed more green so I took myself off to our local garden centre in pursuit of finding a hardy house plant to fill a space in our kitchen/ diner.
The obsession started over Easter when my mother in-law bought us a small house plant which has since sat proudly on our kitchen shelf, and most importantly is still alive!
I love how house plants can instantly change the atmosphere of a room. They not only brighten up a drab space with a punch of green, but they can add style and a sense of health.

{SHOPPING} MARBLE TRAYS - MY PICK OF THE BEST

{SHOPPING} MARBLE TRAYS - MY PICK OF THE BEST

I’m currently having a moment with marble trays.

It all started when I came across one at Hay design whilst deciding how I could merge their chic Danish design into my little eclectic home.

I never thought a piece of carved stone could look so stylish. I would normally associate marble with high end bathrooms and kitchens, so I loved the idea of bringing a touch of luxury into our home as an accessory
