{HOUSE LUST LOVES} BE & LIV

Welcome to my last blog post of 2016. How crazy does that sound? How was your Christmas? Hopefully you’ve all had a great time with family and friends, and like me eaten your body weight in mince pies and cheese boards.

It’s almost been a year since I started this blog. I started it as a new year’s resolution in January 2016 to fulfil a passion, and what a year it’s been. From writing about neon lights in Shanghai, to meeting and touring around the home of singer Patrick Cornell in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s definitely been a year of highs as a homeware and interiors blogger.

I work full time in fashion which means this is a weekend and evening only gig, but I absolutely love doing it, and I hope you guys enjoy reading it.

But enough of that…

Today I wanted to talk about a new brand which I want to bring to your attention; Be&Liv, and in particular, their stylish Lily cake stand.

Be&Liv is a Scandinavian design brand offering contemporary and unique gifts, home décor and lifestyle items which come with a new twist.

My style is industrial with a hint of modern retro and Scandi chic. So, I can’t tell you how refreshing is it to find a cake stand which isn’t your typical floral chintz in porcelain.

The Be&liv lily cake stand is badass. Arriving flat packed in a stylish box, you have to put the stainless-steel sheets together like your constructing a child’s wooden toy (minus the stress and glue). Then the transparent acrylic sheets just slot on top with ease. So much so, you can slide them off easily for cleaning, or even pop them in the dishwasher.

This really is the most modern of cake stands and it certainly doesn’t look out of place in my grey industrious kitchen amongst my other bits. Now where to keep it… I think more faffing is in order.

Be&Liv Lily cake stand is 145 Euros and available online here on www.beandliv.com

Before I sign out for 2016, I want to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. Roll on 2017, I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one!
