{SHOPPING} DREAMY VELVET CUSHIONS AT SAVANNAH HOME
/With so much choice on the High Street, it’s nice to stumble across something a bit different. So today I wanted to tell you about a new homeware brand which caught my eye on a weekend trip to Bath recently.
Savannah Home brings together the unique elements of interior design, cutting edge products and the beauty of antiques. The store demonstrates that by mixing old and new you can create perfect harmony with an individual edge.
The shop itself resembles a room in an eclectic manor house which might be lived in by an eccentric artist. Items are sourced from the UK and Europe and include large pieces of antique wooden furniture with large Italian crystal chandeliers hanging above and tones of objets d’art to fill your home.
Plus, I just have to mention what is in my opinion their signature piece – a stunning collection of hand painted silk devore velvet cushions, which have been painted and distressed by the same textile designer that works with Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. (see pictures below)
The velvet cushions are backed with a rustic hessian material, which offsets the grandness of these beautiful cushions. I am still obsessed with these beauties, however at £148 each they are quite an investment for a statement piece for any lounge. (I’m still regretting not purchasing one… and I keep imagining what one would look like against a dark walled lounge… swoon).
Savannah Home is situated on Milsom Street the ‘go to’ area for interior shopping if you fancy a day trip to Bath. Next door is modern Danish homeware brand Hay Design and British brands such Brissi and India Jane can be found on the same street which Bath an idea place to head to if you want something a bit different.
