{SHOPPING} HOMEWARE SHOPPING IN KRAKOW

Shopping is my passion and my relentless search for original homeware never stops when I'm travelling. This week my work took me to Krakow, Poland. In the few minutes of downtime I had, I managed to squeeze in a little visit to the shops.

I went with no expectations which is always a bonus when visiting new cities, especially when Krakow surprises you with these beauts. If you're visiting, or live locally, then make sure you get down to these shops and support local Polish design.

FORUM DESIGNU

Located in an old tobacco factory in Krakow, it's a unique place, bridging the traditional showroom concept with personal contact with the creator. Here they stock designs by Polish designers and artists as well as famous brands. (Scroll down for the location)

Highlights for me were the cactus printed velvet cushions and the faux palms and marble effect vases. Prices are reasonable for the accessories, so don't be afraid to visit. You won't be dissapointed.

MARKA CONCEPT STORE

Marka is a small homeware shop located in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Krakow. Its small in size, but still stocks plenty of original designs by local Polish designers. Plus if you're indecisive like me you can still buy online after. PLUS Agnieszka who works here is extremely helpful IN advising you on restaurants and other shops in the area! Cheers again Agnieszka!

RZECZY SAME

Rzeczy Same is a store based in the Jewish Ghetto in Krakow, for those who appreciate contemporary design with function.

Here you can find all things designed and manufactured in Poland, including furniture, lamps, ceramics, textiles, posters, notepads and a selection of children's products.

** Here I purchased my concrete planter by Wilk Concept, and a Cat or Batman poster (both items came to a total of £18! Bargain!**
