The Ace Hotel- New Orleans

Stay at the Ace Hotel located at on the corner of Carondelet and Lafayette streets in the Warehouse District of one of the best cities on Earth.

Location: So where to start... well the location is pretty perfect. Walkable distance to french quarter, and one block from the bus stop to go homeware shopping in the upmarket  garden district.

Close enough to all the action, but not in the heart of the tourist area. (My kind of hotel).

The staff are friendly and extremley helpful with tips on where to eat, go, and how to make the most of your stay in Nola.

The Rooms: Each equipped with smeg fridges, tv's and your own mini bar (chargable of course).

The interiors are basic, but cool and relaxed. Styled in dark paint and a dark bathroom to match. If you're into cosy luxuries then this hotel isn't for you.

The Facilities: The BAR! This bar is so pretty and is worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel. In the evenings the place gets pretty lively music with even some impromptu live music coming through the doors. Well you are in New Orleans!

The roof top POOL! Is small, but does the job to cool down in the humid Louisiana heat.  There's also a bar on the roof top, so swing by if you're staying at the hotel to get a great view of the city.

Stumptown coffee shop located on the ground floor, and also open to the public. Makes a great brew and is right on your doorstep.

RestaurantsJosephine Estelle is located on the ground floor, and serves up Southern-inspired Italian meals & wine served in a soaring dining room with ornate decor. (They also serve lunch and breakfast in here!) Unfortunately breakfast isn't included in your room rate.

Seaworthy located a few doors down from the Ace hotel serves Locally sourced oysters & seafood paired with cocktails & wine in a stylish Creole cottage. (Read more in my EAT & DRINK guide) .
