{HOUSE LUST LOVES} DISCO BALLS AND POP ART PRINTS - INSIDE GOOGLE DUBLIN

INSIDE GOOGLE HQ (DUBLIN), HOUSE LUST BLOG

I promise I won't be constantly blogging about corporate interiors, but this one was just too good not to share. Over the weekend I was invited to take a tour inside Googles largest European Office in Dublin, Ireland. Located in the heart of the docklands district (also known as Silicon Docks), Google has helped put Dublin on the map as a technology hub in Europe (FacebookAirbnb and Hubspot all base their European HQ's here).

The office is what you'd expect from Google, especially if like me you've seen the film 'The Intern' (although minus the slide). Simplistic styling with fun colour blocked walls, mixed with bold graphic prints, and plenty of 'play' areas for the googlers to unwind between tasks.

Small social booths are decorated in Litchenstein style pop art prints, and the kitchenette even features a disco ball!

Copper and Brass 'Etch' Tom Dixon pendant lighting, and large wave style pendant lights add a fun yet practical element to the dining room and break out areas.

A large grass themed 'huddle' area was hidden around a corner for large team meetings, and one of my favourite features is a charging station for phones and laptops outside the Google store.  What more do you need? Plus did I mention they give their staff free food and drink and have sleep pods and massage chairs (which I got to test run!)

The interior designers certainly had a lot of fun on this building and other companies need to take note, this is a great environment to work in.
