There's nothing like a little Autumn winter browse while it's pouring with rain outside. Especially when we're meant to be entering the summer season (Welcome to the UK!). This week I attended the AW17 House of Fraser press preview at the London Vinyl factory in Soho.
The great thing about House of Fraser's home collection is there's always something for everyone. Whether you're a rustic, country farmhouse type. Or if you're into dark interiors with touches of retro 70's styling, they have brands to suit everyones home style.
I’ve teamed up with Elite Blinds for their first blogger challenge, focusing on one of the key trends for 2017; Marble & Brass.
Welcome to my last blog post of 2016. How crazy does that sound? How was your Christmas? Hopefully you’ve all had a great time with family and friends, and like me eaten your body weight in mince pies and cheese boards.
It’s almost been a year since I started this blog. I started it as a new year’s resolution in January 2016 to fulfil a passion, and what a year it’s been. From writing about neon lights in Shanghai, to meeting and touring around the home of singer Patrick Cornell in Nashville, Tennessee.
Today I wanted to talk about a new brand which I want to bring to your attention; Bea & Liv, and in particular, their stylish Lily cake stand.
Have you planned your Christmas table yet? Don’t fear, it’s still not too late to create something special with just over a week to go.
Are palm trees the new Pineapples? I think they might be.
All hail the palm tree table lamp in all its glory, and its pals the palm tree candle sticks.
This week I was invited to the House of Fraser SS17 press preview. It might be November, and I don’t want to start wishing Christmas away quite yet, but how nice is it to start thinking about summer and what’s to come for 2017.
So here goes. Get ready for some serious summer swooning...
Happy hump day guys!
If you follow my blog or my Instagram then you’ll already know that September was mostly spent travelling around the southern States of America with the hubster (yep, I’ve just used the word Hubster… sorry Jess). To re-cap, we spent a couple of weeks covering Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Charleston and Savannah.
Today’s post is about Charleston, and our very lovely accommodation at The Restoration hotel.
Because some hotels have great interiors. In fact, some hotels have better interiors than a lot of homes and the restoration is one of those hotels.
Hello new Autumn wrist swag!
A new season definitely calls for a new watch, and I was very lucky to be sent this beauty from JORD watches.
When you hear the name ‘25h Bikini Hotel’, I can only imagine the type of images which come to mind. Probably a Vegas style pool party at a trashy hotel, rather than a sleek, design hotel in a converted office block in the west of Berlin. Here you'll find copper sheeting head boards, foliage walls and matt black tiles. Why stay anywhere else?
I’ve just made the pilgrimage to one the worlds most famous houses, Graceland. Home to Elvis Presley from 1957- until his death in 1977. Some of the rooms haven’t been decorated since 1974 with predominately chrome and glass themes. From lightening bolts painted onto walls in the film room, to the shag pile carpets on the ceiling and walls in the ‘Jungle room’. Graceland was as much a family home, as it was a play house for one of our biggest icons.
My house plant mantra is ‘go full foliage or go home’ and ‘the leafier the prettier’ - yep I do actually say that. So when I saw these prints today, I couldn’t believe I could combine my love of house plants with my love of art.
